Sorry for the very late notice but please be aware that contractors will be working over the next couple of days to finish the surface of the bridge. This is likely to include it being closed for a short time. Signs should be in place to make you aware before reaching the bridge.

Scotch Bridge update from Hansons

Scotch Bridge update from Hansons

Scotch Bridge work is progressing well though there is a delay in sourcing the stone for the capping. The surface will be tanked and finished with hard packed gravel. Bollards are also to be installed. Completion 4-6 weeks, but will be closed for approximately one week for re-surfacing.

GOOD NEWS!!! - Bridge no. 9 is about to be refurbished

Fine George's Bridge aka Scotch Bridge aka Bridge no. 9 (the canal bridge at the bottom of the track leading from the end of Park Land) is about to be refurbished 👍🏻

Village green chains

Please be aware that the Parish Council have taken the reluctant decision to remove the chains surrounding the village green. This is due to sustained and repeated vandalism and in spite of our best efforts to maintain the area in a good condition, the thoughtless actions of others have defeated us.

Fibre broadband update

We will be joined at our monthly Parish Council meeting on Monday 19th February by Kerry Bailey from Derbyshire County Council.
